MacKnight Goes Wild, But Divided Win
Thunder Bay catcher Sean MacKnight had a terrific game. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. D.C. beat the Northern Lions BC, 8-7. MacKnight was named the player of the game despite the loss. D.C. reliever Luis Fernández picked up the win to move to 3-3. Tony Solíz suffered the loss. Earning his 1st save for D.C. was José Sandoval.

Michael Neely drove in one run for D.C.. The 37-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. That's when he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tony Solíz. It was his 8th RBI of the season.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said D.C. manager Jonathan Gerth.

Thunder Bay now has a 5-game losing streak.
