The Wizarding Express scored a 3-2 win versus the Panama City Piranhas at Platform 9 3/4. Wizarding pitcher Ralph McKinney nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Wizarding reliever Juan Cantú picked up the win to move to 1-0. Edgardo Marín suffered the loss. Eijiro Takahashi earned the save for Wizarding, his 2nd of the year.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Rafael Arredondo came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Panama City pitcher Edgardo Marín, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Wizarding on top, 3-2.

McKinney called the triumph "a good team win."

With the loss, Panama City falls to 0-2.
