Grey Wolves Take Down Gold Sox, 3-1
|
Wolf Den in Vancouver was the site of a tense game between the Chicago Gold Sox and Vancouver Grey Wolves.
Ambrose Randall never let the Chicago Gold Sox find their groove. Throughout the game, Randall, the five overall pick in the 2026 draft, relied on his bread and butter, his fastball, in pitching the Grey Wolves to a win. Randall was the winning pitcher and moves to 4-5. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk.
Michael Malloy broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a 2-run single. It put the Grey Wolves in front, 3-1. For the game, Malloy went 2-3 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Vancouver skipper David Krause. "I can't complain."
Vancouver now sits in 9th place in the Silver League at 20-31.
