Benefiting from the performance of Roberto Salazar, the Rocky Mountain Nuggets defeated the Grafton Middies, 6-4. Salazar was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Nuggets. Picking up the save was Jorge Garza, his 13th. The Nuggets now own a record of 26-22.

One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the third. That's when Ron Ward hit a 2-run single. The Nuggets went on to win.
