The Boston Patriots did just enough to sneak past the Austin Rangers, 8-2, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Boston pitcher Jorge Aguirre earned player of the game honors. In 6.2 innings, Aguirre surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Boston, now 10-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.
