Cattlemen Knock Off Thunder Bay at Great Northern Field
The Cattlemen grabbed a 3-2 win at Great Northern Field, overcoming a fine effort from Thunder Bay pitcher Tyler MacHugh. MacHugh went 9 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Gustavo Pérez picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-4. He struck out 4 in 7.2 innings. The Cattlemen go to 17-25, putting them 8th in the Silver League.

In the top of the 5th, Ft. Worth took the lead on a 2-run home run by Tim Burney. At the time, the Cattlemen were trailing 2-1, but Burney's hit with two outs against Thunder Bay pitcher Tyler MacHugh put them in front, 3-2.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Burney told the Ft. Worth Herald. "Whatever it takes."
