Nuggets Pin 6-3 Loss on Grey Wolves
|
The Rocky Mountain Nuggets trumped the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 6-3, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Rocky Mountain left fielder Iván Vega was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Rocky Mountain currently is in 4th place in the Silver League at 19-17.
With the game in the balance, help came for the Nuggets from the most obvious of places: Their star left fielder Vega, the 24-year old right fielder . Vega delivered a 2-run home run when Rocky Mountain needed it most, and making the score 2-0. It was the 7th home run of the season for Vega.
Vega told a Rocky Mountain Gazette reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
