Loss Extends Seattle Losing Streak
|
Ramón Gómez helped his team muscle past the Seattle Aviators, 7-3. In the game, the Grafton left fielder went 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 5 runs. Allen Yohemas picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 3-2. The Seattle losing streak has now reached 6 games.
Grafton grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Gómez, who is a two-time Gold Glove winner, hit a 2-run double. His 6th double put the Middies out in front, 4-2.
