The Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Gold Sox obliged those fans who came to Ebbetts Field hoping for an exciting game.
Brooklyn Dodgers starter Víctor García pitched a strong game against the Chicago Gold Sox at Ebbetts Field, leading the Dodgers to a 6-4 win. García got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. García allowed no earned runs.
Brooklyn took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Chad Armstrong hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Dodgers fans to their feet.
"I had pretty good command out there," said García.
