Grey Wolves Suffer 5-2 Setback
|
It was a fun time at The Cattle Pen, where the Vancouver Grey Wolves and Ft. Worth Cattlemen tangled.
Robby Day made an impact in the 5-2 Ft. Worth win over Vancouver. Day, the 20 overall pick in the 2021 draft, went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Juan Díaz got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings.
Early in the game, Day had a 2-run home run for Ft. Worth. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Cattlemen on top, 3-1.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Day said.
At 12-16, Ft. Worth is in 7th place in the Silver League.
