|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen got a superb performance from left fielder Jesús Morales, but the Nuggets still won the game, 7-5. Morales was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Rocky Mountain reliever Hunter Wilson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Roberto Cavazos absorbed the loss. The Nuggets raised their record to 10-14.
Manuel Becerra went 1 for 2 with a walk for Rocky Mountain. The 26-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. That's when he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Roberto Cavazos. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Becerra.
