Dragonblood Win at Hogsmeade, 4-2
|
The Yellowknife Dragonblood scored a 4-2 win versus the Hogsmeade Cauldrons at Gators Ballpark. Yellowknife pitcher Kazuchika Okada nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Okada went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 8-6. The Dragonblood move to 43-47 with the win, while the Cauldrons drop to 33-57.
The Dragonblood got a big at-bat from Manuel Ramos. For the game, Ramos was 3-5 with a home run and 2 triples, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 5th triple of the season gave Yellowknife a 1-0 lead.
"I liked his command," said Yellowknife manager Dan Joseph. "Kazuchika was throwing strikes."
