|
Getting a good performance from catcher Sepulveda Zambrano, the South Beach Blaze defeated the Columbia River Rats, 4-3. Zambrano went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Blaze. David Ndahura earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 3 earned runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. South Beach now owns a record of 53-36.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fifth when Zambrano, who is tied for 10th in the PA in hits with 88, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Blaze into the lead, 4-2.
"Feels good to get the job done," Zambrano said after the game.
