Ndahura Fans 11 as South Beach Thumps Yellowknife, 2-1
|
South Beach Blaze starter David Ndahura turned in a sterling performance against the Yellowknife Dragonblood, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Luis Oropeza earned the save for South Beach, his 2nd of the year. South Beach, at 51-33, occupies second place in the Premier A.
Ndahura, the winner, is now 2-2. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 earned run on 6 hits, while collecting 11 Ks. He essentially shut down the Yellowknife offense.
"We've got a great group of guys," Ndahura said, "and we're having fun right now."
