Middies Solve Grey Wolves, 5-4
|
The Grafton Middies picked up a win at Wolf Den in Vancouver, knocking off the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 5-4. Starting pitcher Allen Yohemas played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Yohemas, now 2-1. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 5. The win gives the Middies a record of 10-11.
Scotty Anderson had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for the Middies. Coming up with the bases loaded and Grafton trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double.
"Glad to get this win," said Yohemas. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
