Latva Delivers 2-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Gwinnett County Black Cats and the Yellowknife Dragonblood, pitcher Aimo Latva was excellent. The Gwinnett County left-hander was named the player of the game in Gwinnett County's 2-1 win. Earning his 18th save of the year was Ming-hoa Zhou. The Black Cats improve their record to 33-30 with the win over Yellowknife.
Latva, who dominated for Gwinnett County, earned the victory to move to 9-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 7. Yellowknife batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Latva.
