Plainsmen Reel Off Another Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Nebraska Plainsmen and the Yellowknife Dragonblood, pitcher Britt Throgmorton was excellent. The Nebraska right-hander was named the player of the game in Nebraska's 2-0 win. Throgmorton was the winning pitcher and moves to 2-5. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk. Daniel Mack earned his 4th save in 4 tries.
Also contributing to the win was designated hitter Bob Knutson, who stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth for Nebraska. For the game, Knutson was 1-4.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Throgmorton.
Nebraska has now won 6 straight.
