Aarnoutse Twirls a Gem for South Beach
|
In a low-scoring contest between the South Beach Blaze and the Columbia River Rats, pitcher Kenny Aarnoutse was excellent. The South Beach right-hander was named the player of the game in South Beach's 3-1 win. The Blaze, at 29-19, sit in second place in the Premier A.
Aarnoutse made it look effortless. He scattered 2 hits over 6.2 innings, while racking up 11 strikeouts. The South Beach right-hander encountered little resistance from the Columbia hitters. His season record is now 2-0.
"Kenny's stuff was electric," said South Beach manager Lockwood Rose.
