Late Rally by Plainsmen Secures Win
|
The Nebraska Plainsmen scored a 4-3 win versus the Gwinnett County Black Cats at Plain Old Stadium. Nebraska pitcher Markus Visser nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Picking up the save was I-tsing Ts'ong, his 12th. With the win over Gwinnett County, the Plainsmen improved to 23-22.
Nebraska took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Bob Knutson hit a clutch grand slam home run to bring Plainsmen fans to their feet.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Nebraska manager John Hill.
