There was no shortage of dramatics at Ramblers Ballpark today.
The Chicago Tula picked up a win at Ramblers Ballpark, knocking off the South Beach Blaze, 4-3. Starting pitcher Santiago Ramírez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Chicago reliever Joseph Chartier was the winner. His record is now 4-2. The losing pitcher was Darren Minich.
Chicago won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. That's when shortstop Micheal Lovell hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Tula fans to their feet.
"It feels good to get that win," said Lovell. "Now it's on to the next one."
After today's action, Chicago sits at 24-19, while South Beach falls to 26-17.
