Cauldrons Lose, 2-0, at Columbia Stadium
|
Columbia River Rats starter Manuel Sánchez turned in a sterling performance against the Hogsmeade Cauldrons, leading his team to a slim 2-0 win. Joe Khokar picked up the save for Columbia, his 1st of the year. The Columbia River Rats have an impressive 26-14 record.
Fernando Arévalo was a key contributor to the win for the River Rats. In the bottom of the fifth with one out, the light-hitting third baseman stroked a home run to center. He went 1 for 3 with a home run.
Sánchez called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
