Black Cats Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Columbia
|
The Gwinnett County Black Cats did just enough to sneak past the Columbia River Rats, 7-4, at Columbia Stadium. Gwinnett County pitcher Aimo Latva earned player of the game honors. José Quintero was credited with the save for Gwinnett County, his 1st of the season. At 18-17, the Black Cats find themselves in 6th place in the Premier A.
Also doing his part was first baseman Luc Bartoli, who stroked a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth for Gwinnett County. For the game, Bartoli was 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
Latva told the Gwinnett County Observer: "I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here. It's a great group and we're pretty happy with the win."
