|
Athletic Club KC got an elite performance from starting pitcher Hezekiah Grimsley in taking a 7-1 decision over the Gwinnett County Black Cats. Grimsley got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. Grimsley allowed 1 earned run. Athletic Club KC, at 17-15, occupies 5th place in the Premier A.
Chi-hun Chong didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to put Athletic Club KC on top, 2-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Chong told the Athletic Club KC Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
