Cauldrons Knock Off Phoenix at Hotspur Kiddie Complex
|
The Cauldrons faced a stiff challenge from Phoenix pitcher José Quiñones, but persevered to claim a win at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. The final score was 6-1. Quiñones went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Stefan Famintsyn picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-4. He struck out 1 in 6.2 innings. The 9th-place Cauldrons improved to 12-20.
Also producing for Hogsmeade was left fielder Gustavo Valéncia, who stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the first. For the game, Valéncia went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double.
