Hotspur U-21, Ruíz Deal Cauldrons 3-1 Setback
|
Fans who gathered at Hotspur Kiddie Complex saw a good contest between the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 and Hogsmeade Cauldrons.
The Phoenix Hotspur U-21 got a magnificent performance from pitcher José Ruíz, who muffled the Hogsmeade offense en route to a tight 3-1 Hotspur U-21 win at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. Kenny Kawaguchi nailed down his 7th save.
Ruíz scattered 3 hits over 8.2 innings for the Hotspur U-21. With the win, Ruíz moves to 3-3 on the year with 42 strikeouts.
Ruíz said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
Phoenix now sits in 4th place in the Premier A at 17-14.
