Oaks Get Past Rocky Mountain for 4-3 Win
|
Oakland Oaks starter Jesús Franco was in fine form against the Rocky Mountain Nuggets at Oakland Coliseum, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Oakland reliever Gil Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Carlos Trevino took the loss. With the loss, Rocky Mountain falls to 5-11.
Joe Phillips was the walk-off hero for Oakland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Oakland pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Rocky Mountain manager Matt Hunt said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
