Plainsmen Continue Skid, Thanks to Hillier, River Rats

Columbia beat Nebraska, 10-3. The win in part was due to first baseman Robert Hillier, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Columbia reliever Toshiharu Kuhabara picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Britt Throgmorton shouldered the loss. Columbia leads the Premier A by 2 games.
When the River Rats needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Hillier who delivered. Facing Nebraska pitcher Britt Throgmorton the top of the first with the bases loaded, Hillier hit his 1st home run of the year. It made the score 5-0.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Nebraska skipper John Hill.
