Multi-HR Game for Castro in 14-0 Win
The Chicago Gold Sox thumped the Rocky Mountain Nuggets, 14-0, at Nuggets Park. Melvin Castro was a big reason his team got the win. Castro slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Chicago starter Woody Carlson was credited with the win after throwing 91 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The Chicago Gold Sox, now 10-5, have been playing some good baseball.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh. That's when Lupo Cotto, who is tied for 7th in the SL in RBI with 12, hit a bases-clearing double. The Gold Sox went on to win.
