Blaze Win at Yellowknife, 4-1

The South Beach Blaze picked up a win at The Dragon Den, knocking off the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 4-1. Starting pitcher Malulani Anakone was an essential part of his team's success. Anakone went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-2. Harrison Tuff earned the save for South Beach, his 2nd.
Martinus Xhaka helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give South Beach a 2-0 lead.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Dan Joseph. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
At 8-4, the South Beach Blaze have played well so far.
