In a tight game between the Nebraska Plainsmen and the Yellowknife Dragonblood, pitcher Jimmy O'Flahavan was terrific on the mound. The Nebraska right-hander was named the player of the game in Nebraska's 3-1 win. Nebraska, now 5-1, has gotten their season off to a good start.
O'Flahavan, the winner, is now 1-0. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 earned run on 4 hits, while collecting 9 Ks. He basically put the clamps on the Yellowknife offense.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said O'Flahavan.
