The Walla Walla Walleye relied on the hitting of second baseman Ramón Yniguez to stop the Kennesaw Jets, 7-4. For the game, Yniguez went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Walla Walla reliever Fernando Barraza picked up the win, upping his record to 8-7. Khemera Seng absorbed the loss. Quan Shiu notched his 23rd save in 27 chances.

Rex Criscuolo provided some late-game heroics for Walla Walla. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a bases-clearing double. It came on a 2-2 fastball from Khemera Seng and propelled Walla Walla to a 7-4 lead.

"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Yniguez.

Walla Walla now sits in 7th place in the Silver A at 42-50.
