Airmen Fall to Reapers, 3-2
|
The Reapers faced a stiff challenge from Alameda pitcher Larry Strozier, but persevered to claim a win at The Coffin. The final score was 3-2. Strozier went 6 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Grim reliever Guillermo Lemus was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Larry Strozier took the loss for Alameda. Archie Erickson earned the save, his 12th, for the Reapers.
Grim took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Cash Masters hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Reapers.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Grim manager Dale Wolfe. "Our pregame was pretty good."
Grim leads the Silver A by 4˝ games.
