Wimmer Plays Big Role in Alameda Win
Pitcher Glenn Wimmer was sensational for the Alameda Airmen in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Washington Generals. Wimmer received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Marvin Cahill finished the game for Alameda and earned his 5th save. Their 49-41 record puts the Airmen 5th in the Silver A.

Washington had little success against Wimmer and his sinker. Wimmer tossed 91 pitches over 6 innings for the Airmen.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Wimmer said.
