Reapers Stay Hot with 7-2 Win
|
Fans who came to The Coffin watched the Grim Reapers and the Hammond Herons fight to the finish.
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Carlos Evangelho, the Grim Reapers defeated the Hammond Herons, 7-2. Evangelho was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Reapers. Edward Scarborough, credited with the win, is now 9-7. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 5 innings.
Evangelho had a key at-bat for Grim early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Grim an early 3-0 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Evangelho.
