|
The Grim Reapers got a strong performance from pitcher Francisco Rivera, who stymied the Walla Walla offense en route to a 4-2 win at Walleye Tank. Rivera picked up the win for Grim, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4. At 52-31, the Reapers have a slim two-game lead in the Silver A.
Also contributing to the win was first baseman Luis Pagán, who stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth for Grim. For the game, Pagán was 3 for 4 with 3 singles.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Grim manager Dale Wolfe.
