Walla Walla wasted a solid 8-inning effort from starting pitcher Miguel López, losing to Grim, 2-1, at Walleye Tank. John Hartley picked up the save for Grim, his 11th of the year. Grim goes to 51-31. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.

Qu-bing Thien drove in one run for Grim. The 20-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. That's when he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Quan Shiu. It was his 12th RBI of the season.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Grim manager Dale Wolfe.
