Victory Over Bruins Takes Grim to 43-27
|
Bellevue got a terrific performance from right fielder Ernesto Trevino, but it wasn't enough to beat the Grim Reapers. Grim won the The Coffin contest, 7-4. Trevino was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Bellevue losing streak has now reached 4 games.
Tung Ji was a key contributor to the win for the Reapers. In the bottom of the second with one out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to left. He went 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Bellevue manager Luis Barroco. "But we decided not to take it."
