Bruins Fall to Chukars, 5-2
|
Chukars catcher Tony Manzanares put his stamp on his team's 5-2 win over the Bellevue Bruins. Manzanares went 2-4 with a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Idaho Falls in the contest. Albert Sierra got the win, improving to 8-5. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 0. Idaho Falls now has a 4-game win streak.
Manzanares had a key at-bat for Idaho Falls early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 19th double of the season and gave Idaho Falls an early 2-0 lead.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Idaho Falls manager Dan Anderson.
