Airmen Walk Off with 3-2 Win
|
The Airmen took Kennesaw pitcher Manuel Ceja's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Alameda Field. The final score was 3-2. Ceja went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. Alameda reliever Pieter Spitsbaard picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Jong-yun Chong took the loss. The Airmen now have a record of 37-32.
Charles Weber had the critical at-bat for Alameda. With one out in the bottom of the tenth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly. It gave Alameda the 3-2 walk-off win.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Manuel Hernández.
