Expos Defeat Airmen, 4-3
|
Niagara Falls shortstop Bogumil Tiwontschik was a significant contributor in his team's 4-3 triumph over the Alameda Airmen. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls reliever Tony Moreno picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Felipe Lozano took the loss. The Expos now have a record of 26-40 with the win over Alameda.
Niagara Falls took a 4-3 lead on Corey Dudding's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Dudding hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Alameda pitcher Felipe Lozano visibly frustrated.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Tiwontschik told the Niagara Falls Gazette.
