Generals Edge Past Bellevue, 4-3
|
Washington starter Wendell Clingan had a strong outing against the Bellevue Bruins at Bellevue Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The win was credited to Randy Gabaldon in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jin Kwon took the loss. The Generals bumped their record to 38-27 with this latest triumph.
The most important at-bat for Washington came in the top of the tenth inning, when center fielder Elmer Hudgins stroked a first pitch cutter to right for a run-scoring single, putting Washington up, 4-3.
"We put together a nice win," Hudgins said.
