Victory Pushes Chukars Record to 37-27
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars scored a 8-2 win versus the Kennesaw Jets at Jets Stadium. Idaho Falls pitcher Albert Sierra nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Sierra went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-5. Aliaume Thiame earned the save, his 3rd.
León Preciado was a key contributor to the win for the Chukars. In the top of the fifth with one out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a double to right. He was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
In postgame remarks, Preciado said: "We put it together today and came out with the win -- that's the main thing."
With the win, the Chukars improved to 37-27.
