Generals Stick Jets with 3-1 Loss
|
In a tight game between the Washington Generals and the Kennesaw Jets, pitcher Marco Sledge was terrific on the mound. The Washington left-hander was named the player of the game in Washington's 3-1 win. Kyu-jin Yun got credit for the save for Washington. It was his 4th of the year. Washington occupies 4th place in the Silver A at 33-24.
One impactful at-bat came in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Mike Lipide, got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. It made the score 2-1, Washington, and helped them go on to win.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager António Sáenz.
