Expos Shut Out Reapers

The Niagara Falls Expos did just enough to secure a 3-0 victory over the Grim Reapers at The Coffin. Nobody did more than pitcher Dao-zi Zhai, who captured player of the game honors. Zhai went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-3. Tony Moreno picked up the save for Niagara Falls, his 1st of the year.
In the top of the fifth inning, shortstop Bogumil Tiwontschik came through big-time for the Expos. With Niagara Falls leading 1-0, he belted a solo home run.
"Both teams played hard," said Niagara Falls manager Dave Ross.
This win makes it 2 in a row for Niagara Falls.
