Walla Walla shortstop Dhyana Snigdha was sensational. He was 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Syracuse beat the Walleye, 10-9. Snigdha was named the player of the game despite the loss. Syracuse reliever Jorge Carranza was the winner. His record is now 4-1. The losing pitcher was Ids Knegt. Francisco Castillo earned the save for Syracuse, his 1st.

Tom Boyer dealt the Walleye a blow in the top of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Syracuse leading 4-3, Boyer, who is tied for 5th in the SA with a .381 on-base percentage, hit a 0-1 cutter for a 2-run single.

"Crazy game," said Boyer after it ended.

The Storm saw their win-loss record go to 21-30. At the same time, the Walleye fall to 20-31.
