Octávio Rodríguez helped Alameda edge Niagara Falls by the score of 2-1. The 4th-place Expos have lost 4 consecutive games.
A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the first inning when the Airmen sent teenager Mick Spargo to the plate against Expos hurler Dao-zi Zhai. With a runner on 3rd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 2-0 slider to score 1.
