Jets Take Down Chukars, 6-3
|
The Kennesaw Jets eeked out a 6-3 win versus the Idaho Falls Chukars at Jets Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Manuel Ceja, who captured player of the game honors. The 7th-place Jets improved to 21-26.
Las Cumbres, Panama-born Félix Calixto came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Jets trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Kennesaw on top.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Ceja.
