Strozier Deals Syracuse 9-1 Setback
|
The Alameda Airmen picked up a win at Alameda Field, knocking off the Syracuse Storm, 9-1. Starting pitcher Larry Strozier, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Alameda has now won 4 straight, while the Storm have lost 3 in a row.
Strozier, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 6.1 innings for the Airmen. For the most part, Syracuse hitters were simply overmatched.
"Larry was throwing free and easy," said Alameda manager Manuel Hernández.
