Piranhas Stymie Phoenix, Take 6-1 Win
|
Benefiting from Juan Jose Ayala's productive game, the Panama City Piranhas downed the Phoenix Hotspur, 6-1. Ayala was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Piranhas. The win gives the Piranhas a record of 6-6.
Lorenzo Rosas took Javier Mora deep with two out in the bottom of the first. On a first pitch fastball, Rosas drilled a 2-run home run to left-center. It was his 1st home run of the season and put Panama City on top, 2-0.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Rosas said.
