Idaho Falls Makes It 6 Straight with 5-4 Win
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars and Niagara Falls Expos obliged those fans who came to Idaho Falls Park looking for a good time.
The Idaho Falls Chukars topped the Niagara Falls Expos by the score of 5-4, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Spencer Lyng. Lyng was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Chukars. Idaho Falls has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 4-4, third baseman Bill Bambridge won it for Idaho Falls. With the bases loaded, Bambridge hit a full count cutter from Jefferson Suhendro for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 5-4 win.
"I believe in our guys," said Idaho Falls skipper Dan Anderson. "I like the energy they're playing with."
